Question: What is the horspower output of CASCAR cars in relation to NASCAR?
Answer: The horsepower output by the average CASCAR is 450hp compared to NASCAR's 750hp. The difference is due mainly to engine restrictions and limitations set out by CASCAR in the rule book.

Question: Does CASCAR race on any ovals that are 1.5 miles or longer?
Answer: Currently there are no superspeedways in Canada. The largest track we have here is in Ontario, and measures one mile in length. There are multiple road courses in Canada which exceed the 1.5 mild length, and several of these tracks will be visited by the CASCAR Super Series this year.

Question: About how much should a single car team receive in sponsorship money? What about prize money?
Answer: Sponsorship money all depends on the individual program. The prize money also varies a lot. We get extras from contingency sponsors, but until you find out if you have had the fastest lap or most passes, you don't know the exact prize money. Also, the manufacturer adds to your prize money if you are in the top three qualifiers and the top five finishers. We run a Chrysler car, which we feel has the best contingency prize money. Ford also has a fairly good one.

Question: How much does it cost to get a team started if you already have the car?
Answer: The cost varies, depending on how much racing you're going to do, plus how much other equipment you may have - trailer, tow unit, tools, etc. We can tell you that a Western race can easily cost $5000 in expenses. Add a lot (even double that amount) for a National event. If nothing goes wrong, you can spend maintenance costs on the next event. If something breaks, you buy a replacement part.
